Artist's Biography

Joshua Callaghan is a Los Angeles-based artist whose sculpture, installation, video, and public art have been shown internationally. Born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Joshua Callaghan earned an MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of North Carolina, Asheville. He was also the recipient of a Fulbright Grant to Nepal. His work has been exhibited at Steve Turner Contemporary, Los Angeles; Haas & Fischer Gallery, Zurich; Bank Gallery, Los Angeles; Galleria Fortes Vilaça, São Paulo; the UC Riverside Sweeney Gallery; The Guggenheim Gallery of Chapman University; and LA Louver in Los Angeles. He has also completed a series of public projects in Southern California, New York City and Taipei. Curator's Biography

Karen Lofren (b. 1976, Toronto) earned an MFA at the California Institute of the Arts in 2000. Her work has been exhibited at See Line Gallery, Carter & Citizen, Human Resources, Royale Projects, LACE, LA Mart, Craft and Folk Art Musuem, the temporary space, Pacific Design Design, Pitzer Art Galleries, Mihai Nicodim Gallery, Slab, and Five Thirty Three among others.
