Artist's Biography

Jonathan Apgar was born in San Diego in 1977 and currently lives in Los Angeles. He is pursuing an MFA in Painting and Drawing at the University of California Los Angeles, which he expects to receive in 2013. He received a BFA from California State University Long Beach in 2009. Apgar has been included in exhibitions at George Lawson Gallery, Culver City; Torrance Art Museum; Art Platform, Los Angeles; Shoshana Wayne Gallery, Santa Monica; Art Chicago | NEXT; Hibbleton Gallery, Fullerton; Art and Shelter, Los Angeles; University Art Museum, California State University, Long Beach; Max L. Gatov Gallery, Long Beach; and Concrete Walls, Los Angeles.



Curator's Biography

Janet Levy is a curator and director of See Line Gallery. See Line Gallery is a contemporary exhibition space founded April 2006 by Janet Levy in Santa Monica. In 2009, See Line Gallery relocated to the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. With a focus on an exceptional curatorial program, See Line Gallery is dedicated to showing the works of talented contemporary artists with an emphasis on sculpture, collage, mixed media, and installations.
