Artist's Biography
Kristi Lippire lives and works in Los Angeles. Her work is currently part of the traveling exhibition, Alexander Calder and Contemporary Art: Form, Balance, Joy, that opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and has traveled to Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas; the Orange County Museum of Art; and Nasher Museum at Duke University. Kristi Lippire has exhibited with d.e.n. contemporary art, Ace Gallery, Torrance Art Museum, Glendale Community College, The Riverside Art Museum, and the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena. Lippire has also participated and organized multiple gorilla art projects in Los Angeles and Mexico. For the last three summers, she has been involved in a collaborative project with her husband, curating backyard screenings which show new video works and performance art in their El Sereno backyard.
