Artist's Biography

Neal Rock was born in 1976 in Port Talbot, Wales, UK. He currently shared his time between Los Angeles and London. He Received his Ph.D in Painting from the Royal College of Art in London; his MFA from Central St. Martin’s School of Art; and his BFA (Hons) in Painting from the University of Gloucestershire. His work has been featured in solo shows at several international galleries, including: Kunsverein Heppenheim, Germany; Mihai Nicodim, Los Angeles; New Art Gallery, Walsall, UK; and Fa Projects, London among others. Rock’s work has been featured in group exhibitions at the following galleries: Jerwood Space, London; Royal Academy of Arts, London; Albright Knox, Buffalo; Wexner Centre, Columbus; Orange County Museum of Art, California; Contemporary Art Museum, Houston; and Storefront for Art & Architecture, NY.Neal Rock was born in 1976 in Port Talbot, Wales, UK. Curator's Biography

Karen Lofren (b. 1976, Toronto) earned an MFA at the California Institute of the Arts in 2000. Her work has been exhibited at See Line Gallery, Carter & Citizen, Human Resources, Royale Projects, LACE, LA Mart, Craft and Folk Art Musuem, the temporary space, Pacific Design Design, Pitzer Art Galleries, Mihai Nicodim Gallery, Slab, and Five Thirty Three among others.
