Beyond Borders was a talk presented in the context of the exhibition Borders of Freedom / Contornos de Libertad. This special event invited 3 artists from different regions, 1 of them whose work is a part of this exhibition. Joining Patricio Majano (Borders of Freedom curator) from El Salvador for a conversation, are Abigail Reyes from El Salvador, Arshia Haq from Los Angeles, US, and Liliana Hueso from Tijuana, MX. The talk addressed themes related to gender and freedom, considering the works of these 3 artists, the regions they live in, and their personal stories. This event aimed to expand the dialogue surrounding these themes, connecting the art practices of three regions that share a similar cultural and political context.

This talk was co-presented with YES Contemporary. We are grateful to el Centro Cultural de Tijuana, la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Facultad de Artes for their collaboration to program this event online.
