Report from Standing Rock

December 18, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

REPORT FROM STANDING ROCK
Sunday, December 182-4 PM
Please join us for a slide presentation and conversation with artists Molly Larkey and Jen Rosenstein. They recently visited Oceti Sakowin Camp at Standing Rock, where they interviewed organizers and supporters who came to stand with the Standing Rock Sioux. They will discuss the powerful movement that has been created by this historical gathering of First Nations and their allies.
Oceti Sakowin Camp is a living model of co-struggle that places concrete action within a larger fight for decolonization, environmental justice, and social justice. By creating a native-centered culture based in ethical and spiritual principles, the camp has established a platform for organizing against white supremacy, patriarchy, exploitative capitalism, and other forms of oppression.
