As part of Unraveling Collective Forms exhibition. Fanaa led a procession the night of the opening from the Hollywood Blvd overpass (101 Fwy) to LACE.
In the form of a shimmering procession, this street performance celebrates people that organize movement, that walk out, that make themselves visible together. A surrealist/situationist procession of SWANA (South West Asian & North African) diaspora with a message addressing alienation and inclusivity. It is an ode to those whose long and complex journeys challenge ideas of migration, home, and land. A procession that unionizes us, strangers and aliens—an invitation to walk and be present together. The public is invited join the procession.
Performance will start at 6:30 pm on the Hollywood Freeway overcrossing where the 101 meets Hollywood Blvd, between N Bronson Ave and N Wilton Pl. Performance will end at LACE.
