RE: Placement/LACE 10 Years Anniversary Exhibition

March 2, 1988 – April 12, 1988

An exhibition and performances that scrutinized how art is presented and defined by various institutions and how those very institutions become intrinsic to understanding the work which they contain. Works varied from the highly conceptual to those that used LACE as subject matter. Artists included: David Avalos/ Elizabeth Sisco/ Louis Hock, Tim Bennett, Andrea Fraser, Liz Larner, Louise Lawler, Antonio Muntadas, Rita McBride, Mothers of Medusa, Peter Nagy, Linda Nishio, Tony Oursler/ Constance deJong, Adrian Piper, Jefferey Vallance, and B. Wurtz. Curated by Marc Pally and Joy Silverman. Sponsored by Peter and Eileen Norton.
