If you love books AND art, we hope to see you this weekend! Visit LACE and friends at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books (@latimesfob), happening this Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. Curators: Send us your proposals for LACE’s Emerging Curator program. Applications will be accepted until April 27, 2025. Emerging curators are encouraged to propose projects for moving image works that can be presented in a gallery space or theater. Tap the link in our bio for more info.

We’re thrilled to share our newest program, “ENDURANCE.” 🔶 Taking place at L.A. Dance Project (@ladanceproject) on May 16-17, “ENDURANCE” presents performance art and interdisciplinary work by elder artists. Through their longstanding committed and engaged practices, the artists in ENDURANCE transmit wisdom and experience while embracing the challenges and opportunities that come with age and aging.

“ENDURANCE” showcases re-stagings and new commissions by legacy performance, dance, and literary artists including Gloria Enedina Álvarez (@gloriaenedinalvarez) accompanied by Greg Hernandez, Kamau Daáood, Ulysses Jenkins and The Dark Bob, Juanita and Juan (@alice_bag + @kidcongopowers), Sharon Kagan (@sharonkagan), Hirokazu Kosaka, Oguri, Sheree Rose (@msrosebush), Barbara T. Smith, Awilda Sterling-Duprey (@awildasterling), and more.
