The Emerging Curator Program call for proposals is

The Emerging Curator Program call for proposals is officially open for submissions! This year’s proposals, focused on moving image works, will be reviewed by a panel that includes film curator/programmer, educator, and arts administrator Jheanelle Brown; artist, curator, and educator Carrie Chen (@carriechen01); and curator, arts administrator, and cultural producer Heber Rodriguez (@hebereatschips). Deadline to submit: Sunday, April 27, 2025. More info at the link in our bio.

LACE is proud to announce the Los Angeles premiere

LACE is proud to announce the Los Angeles premiere of this year’s Artists’ Film International (AFI’24), a touring film program collectively curated and presented by 15 international arts organizations and convened by Forma (@formaartsmedia). 🎞 This year, the AFI partners have commissioned or selected recent artists’ films which respond to the theme, “Solidarity.” LACE’s selection for AFI’24 is “Etched in Light” (2024) by Cassils (@cassilsartist).

“Etched in Light” is a participatory visual art and sonic performance led by the artist in collaboration with the National Center for Transgender Equality and over 140 trans and NB artists.

Students: Apply for the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship Program by April 11. We’re hiring two paid, full-time interns to begin this summer in Curatorial and Programming and Communications and Media.

Curators: The Emerging Curator Program call for proposals opens March 25, 2025. This year, LACE is accepting curatorial proposals centered on moving image works that can be presented as a single program, or programming series. Register for our virtual info session happening tomorrow, March 19.
