Movement as Translation of Emotion, Material as Witness, Gathering #2

Movement as Translation of Emotion, Material as Witness, Gathering #2
Tuesday May 7, 2019  6-9 PM

There is a language each of our hands speak, a way of engaging — thereby encoding the physical world. Tactile transmissions from our pasts, projected to a future. Remembering we were once connected to a womxn, we gather to support womxn’s collective actions, and look to our generative intuition as a guiding force for an action of solidarity, communication, healing and craft.

This second gathering will ask supporters to come together in a show of solidarity for feminine action and help create a companion piece to what was created in our womxn’s gathering on March 14, 2019 as part of Unraveling Collective Forms.

In what suddenly feels like an act of radical kindness, participants will be surrounded by flowers and aromatic herbs, taught how to crochet, fed and asked to make a collaborative circular fiber piece while contemplating how to best support womxn.
