March 25th: A special program of nine 10-minute performances by artists from across the country organized in conjunction with the NAAO Conference. The program included performances by: Enormous Bones trombone ensemble from Los Angeles; Kiken Chin, performance artist from Portland; Christine Tamblyn, performance artist and writer from San Francisco; Hudson, performance artist and writer from Chicago; Pearl Cleage, performance artist and writer from Atlanta; Orson Maquelani, poet from Houston; Karen Finely, performance artist from New York City and Thunder Thigh Revue, the performance art duo of Joyce Scott and Kay Lawal from Baltimore with John Fleck from Los Angeles as Master of Ceremonies. March 26th: Performance by John Malpede and the Los Angeles Poverty Department (LAPD), a Skid Row theater company.
