The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have devastate

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles have devastated countless members of our arts community, destroying homes, studios, and livelihoods. In response, a coalition of leading arts organizations, philanthropists, and foundations—led by the J. Paul Getty Trust—has launched the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund, an emergency initiative with $12 million in initial funding and more on the way.

We’re sharing this critical initiative to ensure that artists and arts workers across all disciplines who have been affected can access the help they need. Administered by the Center for Cultural Innovation, this fund offers immediate grants.

We’re thinking of everyone who has been impacted

We’re thinking of everyone who has been impacted by the fires in our city and our heart goes out to everyone who has experienced tremendous loss. In this time of grief, we must renew our commitment to care for one another and rebuild what has been lost.

Grief and Hope (@artworldfirereliefla) is an important initiative offering direct relief to those affected. Their goal is to raise $500,000 to provide direct support to artists and art workers who have lost their homes or studios.

Here’s how you can help or get help (all links in our bio):

➕If you can help: Fill out the form that collects information about what you can provide (temporary housing, clothing, or other resources).

Grief and Hope is a volunteer-led mutual aid and relief effort dedicated to supporting artists and individuals impacted by the fires. It is led by Kathryn Andrews, Andrea Bowers, Olivia Gauthier, Julia V. Hendrickson, and Ariel Pittman.

We’re grateful for the incredible press this exhibition has received and extend our thanks to everyone who has spent time with the works, shared their experience with friends, and attended our programs. We’re so proud of all the effort poured into this project.
