New Music America Festival

 

October 31, 1985 – November 10, 1985

One of the country’s most important contemporary music festivals, New Music America is hosted each year by a major city. In 1985, the festival took place in Los Angeles and was sponsored by a consortium of arts organizations including: LACE, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles Theatre Center, Otis Art Institute/Parsons School of Design, Independent Composer’s Association, California Institute of the Arts, Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art and the Japan American Theatre.
