RE. CHER. CHEZ. Performance Workshop: “Piecemeal Too”

LACE and Otis/Parsons Art Institute brought the RE. CHER. CHEZ. Studio for the Performing Arts to Los Angeles for a three-week program of workshops and performances. RE. CHER. CHEZ. Performers Ruth Maleczech, William Pope L. and Valerie Vasileska and eight artists from the diverse cultural and ethnic communities of Los Angeles created three evenings of performance in a 40,000-square-foot warehouse in downtown Los Angeles and one full day of performance at the MaCarthur Park Bandshell. Los Angeles artists included: Suzanne Averitt, Kathleen Becket, Julie Herbert, Hollywatts (Roger G. Smith) and Ben Caldwell, Ellen Lampert, Philip Little, May Sun, Los Illegals and the Alienz. Supported in part by a National Endowment for the Arts-Inter-Arts Project grant.
