The Fix-It-Up Show

October 7 – November 8, 1981

Work by more than 30 artists that were altered or fixed up by Michael Uhlenkott and Jeffrey Vallance. Modification techniques included banging against and dragging over concrete, glueing on hair, and similar broad, gestural treatments. Some of the artists included: Chris Burden, George Herms, Mary Jones, Mike Kelley, Suzanne Lacy, Grant Mudford, Pierre Picot, Betye Saar, Ilene Segalove, and Alexis Smith.
