Quipu Abierto/Open Quipu
la exposición Desenredar las formas colectivas y la programación Quipu Abierto/Open Quipu busca crear un espacio para reunir, recordar, aprender y conectar con la audiencia en un hilo común. Es una invitación a entrelazar nuestras propias narrativas en un khipu, a convertirnos en nudos parlantes. Es una forma de hilar y desenredar posibilidades para volver a imaginarnos.

Miercoles, abril 3, 7-10 pm Inauguración de la exposición y performance:
اجنبی ملن Ajnabi Milan (Unión de extraños)
Procesión liderada por la artista Arshia Haq en el Boulevard de Hollywood

Domingo, abril 7, 12-3pm:
Ensayos libertarios: Maaynok
Acompaña a los artistas boricuas Mónica Rodríguez y Jorge Gonzalez en colaboración con la educadora y consultora cultural Tongva, Julia Bogany mientras dirigen un taller en LACE que combina el “tejido de canastas” con “lecturas en voz alta” de una selección de textos de la escritora puertorriqueña anarco-feminista Luisa Capetillo. Bogany enseñará a los participantes cómo tejer agujas de pino aplicando técnicas de enrollado basadas en las tradiciones de Tongva. Este taller incluye todos los materiales

Proyección nocturna con Filmforum
En conexión con la exposición Unraveling Collective Forms en Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions (LACE), Filmforum co presenta proyecciones digitales de los artistas Cecilia Vicuña, Jeannette Ehlers, Arshia Haq y Sky Hopinka, cuyos trabajos forman parte de la exposición.

Discursos Transfeministas
Activista, escritora, intérprete y autora de libro Capitalismo Gore en conversación con la curadora de LACE, Daniela Lieja Quintanar y artistas invitados.
Seguido de un performance a cargo de Patrisse Cullors.

Sábado, 25 de mayo, 6-9pm Performance de cierre de exposición:
Una puesta de sol infectada

LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) is pro LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions) is proud to announce the forthcoming group exhibition “A Tender Excavation” curated by our Curator & Director of Programs Selene Preciado!

On view from November 1, 2025–February 21, 2026 at the Luckman Gallery at Cal State LA, “A Tender Excavation” approaches research-based artistic practices through propositions of alternative histories, bringing together a group of artists that work with historical and familial photographic archives as a point of departure to construct new narratives and elicit transformation. Artists featured in the exhibition include Zeynep Abes, Susu Attar, Jamil Baldwin, Mely Barragán, Artemisa Clark, Arleene Correa Valencia, Mercedes Dorame, Prima Jalichandra-Sakuntabhai, Leah King, Tarrah Krajnak, Heesoo Kwon, Ann Le, Arlene Mejorado, Star Montana, and Camille Wong.
